Blossoms and the Bee, a sideboard in mahogany, in the series 'Through the Forest Lightly', is designed around the central curved panel as a canvas for carving. The Inspiration for this piece is in highlighting the importance of butterflies, bees and wild landscapes for ecological diversity, and protecting our forests and fields from human over development.
This mahogany Bombe Chest on Chest was originally designed and built in 1770, in Salem Massachusetts. Details and dimensions accurately convey the original design with its swan's neck moldings, fluted columns and pinwheel rosettes. This dramatic piece stands 7.5 feet tall and nearly 4 feet wide.
Boston Style Bombe Desk, mahogany. A scaled down version of an important American Chippendale piece, this beautifully proportioned Bombe desk features the Boston style ball and claw foot with the swept back side talons and several hidden compartments in the interior.
Newport Style Desk on Frame, mahogany. This is my interpretation of what the Newport makers might have done if they built a desk on frame. This piece won the prestigious 'Best in Wood' and 'Public Choice' awards at the League of NH Craftsmen fair in 2008.
Sheraton Style Sideboard. In this custom designed piece inspired by the Sheraton style, I combine crotch veneer, inlay and carving details with the shaped front to create an exciting and fun piece.
Sheraton Style Desk, mahogany. Custom built and designed for the clients needs and taste, this piece incorporates elements of the Sheraton style.
Philadelphia Lowboy, mahogany. Built on spec, the intricately carved apron, knees and drawer front and elegant proportions really make this a stunning piece.
Newport Kneehole Chest, mahogany. The Newport makers mastered the block front shape by terminating them with the carved shells. The smooth curves and beautiful shape of the shells give a softness and grace to the piece.
Boston Bombe, mahogany. With the serpentine shape and the swelling bombe, this sculptural piece really brings out the grain of the wood and is one of my favorite pieces- beautiful from any angle.
Newport Kneehole Desk, mahogany. One of my favorite pieces, I love the blocked shape flowing into the feet and the tombstone shape of the frame and panel door.
Period Entertainment cabinet, mahogany. This cabinet includes elements of the Queen Anne period and was especially designed for both its intended purpose and to match the many classic pieces I built for this client.
Newport Tall Clock, mahogany. Built for a clock collector who has a passion for period furniture, this piece enjoys pride of place as one of his favorites clocks.
Mini Chest, walnut. Standing at about 30 inches tall this reproduction piece took the fancy of a client who loves all things 18th century.
Oxbow Desk, mahogany. The beautiful shaped form of this piece accentuates the grain of the wood.
Spice Chest, walnut. This small chest with its many drawers and cubbies is about 20 inches tall and really highlights the incredible piece of walnut crotch on the door.
